Warmer days, please......

THURSDAY, APRIL 16
We are getting the tomato beds ready for next week's planting.  Hopefully, the forecasted rain won't delay this too much. We are still waiting on our greens and hope they will be ready to pick by the first week of May.

We're also busy finishing seed purchases and transplants for the new plot to be planted this season.....an acre at the back of our property. We're experimenting with plastic mulch on half of the acre which is supposed to help with weed suppression and warmer soil for an earlier than normal planting of our warm season crops.   Busy planting season is upon us and we look forward to warm days of sunshine!

We'll keep you posted as the growing season continues!!

Happy Spring from your Friends at bbveggies!

Hey Becky! Thanks for putting up the blog. Can't wait to see you at the Edmond Market. Still trying to get my own garden up and running! Thought I would recommend a fellow blog site that I follow here: coldantlerfarm. This gal wrote Made from Scratch: Disconvering the Pleasures of a Handmade Life. She is so funny, and terribly informative. Her name is Jenna Woginrich. Have fun taking a look!
